Wayne Faust - Louisiana Tour '04
I've always wanted to visit Louisiana.
Well, I finally got to go there and it didn't disappoint. Thanks to Rhonda and
Lyle at Southern Seaplane www.southernseaplane.com
for giving me the rock star's tour of the bayou and New Orleans. Most of the
pictures below were taken with them. Also, thanks to Curt up in Tallulah for
showing me a great time, and taking me on a tour of his cotton farm.
Unfortunately my digital camera went on the blink that weekend, so I only was
able to get one picture from there.
I hope to head back down to Louisiana next spring!

Crawfish boil in Tallulah. Those little buggers go great with beer.
Mufalata sandwiches at the show. Might salty. Makes you drink more beer.
The Show. Notice the bald guys in the audience. They made it to the stage later on...
The DeHavilland Beaver seaplane. This is what they took me up in for the grand tour.
De Plane, De Plane! We nearly made it to Cuba.
"Papa Gator," a genuine cajun we met WAY back in the bayou.
Me actually flying the plane. Fortunately Lyle only let me fly it for about 3 seconds.
The view from the plane - homeward bound. About 20 miles south of New Orleans.
Yep, bald guys are hip. This is at Pat O'Brien's on Bourbon Street.
