A note from Wayne...

I'm happily back home and into my fall schedule after a VERY busy summer.
Here's a picture with two of my lovely granddaughters
welcoming me home after a long summer away...



Back when I drove a diesel Rabbit, I used to talk with truckers at the truck stop while I was filling up my little ten gallon tank. One trucker told me something that will stick with me forever.

"There's only one thing in life just as good
the thousandth time as the first," he said.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Coming home."

After the summer I had this year, it was especially true for me.

But now Labor Day has come and gone and it's on to fall!

I'll be doing my annual shows this weekend and next for
Oktoberfest in Vail, Colorado.

I play in the Kids Zone on Saturday and Sunday afternoons for two weekends.
It's always a blast, with thousands of people in attendance.
It says Kids Zone, but I really play for families and anyone else strolling by.
We always end up with some really cool Bald Guy Dads showing their kids just how cool they can be!

As promised, tickets are
now on sale for my annual Chicagoland Show in November. 
It's always one of my favorite shows of the year, and this year should be especially fun after after the chaos of the past two years.
If you are anywhere nearby, don't miss this one.

it might be time for a road trip!

And one more thing...

After 100 years, the World Famous Bucksnort Saloon
seems to have closed, perhaps permanently.

I played there once a month since the late 80's.
So many many great memories.
If those walls could talk...
I hope someone takes it over and continues the tradition.
In the meantime, I'll be in search of another place in the Foothills or Denver to continue the fun and frivolity.
